I’ve always loved the idea of returning home after life throws a few curveballs, and Second Chance Summer was born from that feeling. I wanted to write about rekindling old flames, especially when the setting is a charming lakeside town that’s just as much a character as the people in the story.
Ethan Callahan is rugged, outdoorsy, and has a heart as big as the lake he grew up near. He’s the owner of the town’s outdoor adventure company, but under his strong exterior, he’s still carrying a torch for his high school sweetheart. Ethan is protective, a little stubborn, but always loyal to those he loves.
Second Chance Romance with a side of small-town charm. Liv and Ethan’s love story is all about navigating their shared past while rediscovering what made them fall for each other in the first place.

Growing up, I spent summers there, and the peaceful vibe and close-knit community of the island are reflected in Pinebrook’s charm. It’s the kind of place where life slows down, and romance feels a little more possible.
